I need to change my pet’s dry food. How should I switch them over to the new food?

You should change their diet over the course of a week—never all at once. If you abruptly introduce new food, your pet may refuse to eat it or have digestive problems. A better approach is to mix the two kinds of food (the old and new) and slowly increase the proportion of the new food. Ask our experts for advice, that’s what they’re here for!

What foods are difficult to digest or dangerous for pets?

Coffee, mushrooms, chocolate, nuts, onions, poultry bones, potatoes and grapes should be avoided. Some table foods, with their high salt, sugar and fat content, can also cause gastric discomfort and also contribute to diabetes, obesity and heart disease. When you want to give your pet a treat, it’s always better to opt for something specially made for animals.
